Safe Inside

We danced in the rain as children
Always dodging a drop here and there as adults,
Trying to stay dry in a wet world.
Trying to wear ironed clothes only to wrinkle them putting them on.
We vacuum the carpet and walk on it with shoes later.
One drop at a time we miss life.
